Redmond Historical Society walking tours begin May 6
April 13, 2012 · 11:19 AM
The Redmond Historical Society (RHS) is offering guided walking tours of the city's historic downtown core.
The tours will provide facts, figures and fun courtesy of historian Tom Hitzroth.
Hitzroth is expanding his guide services in honor of the Centennial, offering five downtown tours this year: May 6 and 20, June 3 and 17 and Sept. 9. Tours run from 1-2:30 p.m., beginning on the front steps of the Justice White House, 7730 Leary Way N.E., at the west end of Redmond Town Center where the Saturday Market is held.
A tour will not be held if it rains. Hitzroth is also doing a tour of the Redmond Cemetery on July 15 and one of Redmond's haunted history on September 30. The starting place for these two has not yet been determined.
Registration is required by the Thursday before the tour. A fee of $8 per person will help fund society research.
