Lake Washington School District (LWSD) employee Nancy Pfaff will present a workshop for school volunteers at 7 p.m. Monday, March 2, at the L.E. Scarr Resource Center, 16520 NE 74th St., Redmond.

Those interested in volunteering should arrive at 6:30 p.m. to fill out district paperwork and learn about the opportunities available. Particpants need to bring a driver’s license or other valid identification.

Pfaff will discuss three key areas to help make your time in the schools more valuable:

• Beyond Learning Styles — Connecting With Your Students

• Visual Act Vision — A Different Way of Thinking

• Opening the Door By Asking Questions — Helping students think!

Pfaff has been in education for 33 years and is currently a district elementary school staff trainer, specializing in mathematics.
