Meet Frank King, the author of "Travels with Doris: Without Reservations" at 1 p.m. Friday, July 10 at the Redmond Regional Library, 15990 NE 85th St.

The free event is sponsored by McDonald's Book Exchange, 16415 NE 83rd St. in Redmond.

King met his wife Doris on a climb with the Seattle Mountaineers. He said he knew he had met his match because they both loved to travel and weren't afraid to rough it. In their mid-sixties, the couple set off an adventures from Italy to India, literally "without reservations," sleeping everywhere from bare floors to buses. Now in their eighties, they are still traipsing around the world and having a great time.

Copies of "Travels with Doris" will not be available at the library event, but are available at McDonald's Book Exchange. For information, call (425) 885-4773 or e-mail mcdonaldsbookexchange@hotmail.com.
