The Lake Washington Soccer Youth Association (LWYSA) conducted a flag dedication ceremony in honor of the late Jennifer Dunn Monday evening at 60 Acres Park in north Redmond.

Dunn, one of the state's most prominent Republican figures for more than two decades, died in 2007 at age 66.

The newly landscaped area with brand new brick edging was designed and developed by Redmond Eagle Scout Steve Koster. The flag pole is located in the southwest corner of 60 Acres Park North.

The project, including materials and the flag pole, was funded by LWYSA Breeze girls' soccer team.

LWSYA also designed a plaque honoring Dunn and her commitment to preserving parks and youth programs.
