The residents and staff at Fairwinds of Redmond, 9988 Avondale Rd. NE, collected pajamas for foster kids in the Treehouse Pajama Drive. Treehouse is a non-profit organization that assists kids ages 0-18 in foster care. The Web site is www.treehouse4kids.org.

The pajama drive at Fairwinds of Redmond ended Nov. 16 with a pajama party. All of the pajamas donated by residents, staff, family members and the community will be donated to foster children.

“The pajama drive has become very special to our community. It makes us all feel a sense of accomplishment when we see how many donations came in," stated Nick Glenn, executive director at Fairwinds of Redmond. “But the real winners are the kids.”

As a corporation, Leisure Care (of which Fairwinds of Redmond is a part) collected more than 500 pairs of pajamas. More than 50 pairs came from the Redmond location.
