Redmond Planning Commission seeks applicants

Redmond residents with an interest in the future growth and character of the city are invited to apply for an upcoming vacancy on the Redmond Planning Commission. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council and may serve up to two four-year terms.
The Planning Commission’s role is to make recommendations to the City Council regarding planning policy and land use regulations. This year, the commission will work on a number of important policy issues related to housing, neighborhood planning and transportation.
Planning Commission meetings are held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, typically three times a month, and are cablecast live on Redmond City Television (RCTV 21).
Interested residents living within Redmond city limits should contact the Mayor’s office at (425) 556-2101 or download a community service application form at www.redmond.gov/insidecityhall/boards.asp. Mail the completed application to the Office of the Mayor, City of Redmond, PO Box 97010, Redmond, WA 98073-9710 or fax to (425) 556-2110. If available, include a resume or summary of related experience. All board and commission members are volunteers.
