Redmond Rousers launches new blog
August 4, 2010 · 9:54 AM
The Rotary Club of Redmond Rousers has launched a new social media campaign with a blog at www.redmondrousersrotary.org.
"This is our voice in the world and a way to get more information out to people on a daily or weekly basis about who we are and what we do," said club president Kelly Kyle.
"Our club is a wonderful place to meet other local professionals and community members who make time to volunteer and do 'Service Above Self,' Rotary's motto," Kyle noted.
The Rousers meet each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Fairwinds Redmond, 9988 Avondale Rd. NE. Meetings include dinner, a local speaker, conducting business and networking with others from the community.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, Warren Crain will speak about his life, times and writings in India.
The club also hosts fundraisers such as the upcoming "Casino Night" on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Fairwinds. Proceeds will benefit two local and two international charities.
