CORE Theatrics presents "FAME Jr.," featuring Redmond students Krista Geiger, Jenny Stolarczuk and Lucy Gregersen Feb. 28-March 3 at the Lake Washington High School Performing Arts Center, 12033 N.E. 80th St., Kirkland.
"FAME Jr.," set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984), is the bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.
"FAME Jr." is a PG show recommended for ages 8 and up and is directed by Leslie Connor, musically directed by Blake Saunders and choreographed by Sheri Lewis.
Show dates and times are 7 p.m. Feb 28, March 1 and March 2 and 2 p.m. March 3.
