Redmond resident's art on display in Belltown

Redmond resident Anne Simernitski is a featured artist at Gallery 309, located at 309 Cedar Street in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood, through July 4. An artist's reception takes place from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 at the gallery.

Regular hours for the gallery and Simernitski's exhibit, "Les Trois Styles," are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. or by appointment. Contact Guty del Campo at (206) 856-2210 or Anne Simernitski at anne@simernitski.net.

A native of France, Simernitski studied at the Louvre Museum, Sorbonne Nouvelle University and the IFIP College in Paris.

She has lived in Redmond since 2000 and is one of the founding members of the artist organization Art Whisper, based in Bellevue.

Her latest work, "Azalee's series" consists of paintings based on her five-year-old daughter's drawings.
