Library hosts book talk and art workshop this month

Bree Loewen, a former climbing ranger for Mount Rainier National Park, will discuss her book "Pickets and Dead Men: Seasons on Rainer" in a free event at the Redmond Regional Library, 15990 NE 85th St. The book talk and signing is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.

And at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, local art instructor Molly Hashimoto will give a workshop at the library, on how to sketch outdoor wilderness setting. Registration for this event is limited to 25 people.
