Thank you to the city | Letter

On behalf of the Open Kitchen team and our guests, we’d like to express our deepest gratitude to the city of Redmond for their help in making the roads, streets, and parking lots around our building safe, just in time for our 5 p.m. meal on Feb. 13.

Specifically, we’d like to thank Councilmember Angela Birney for shoveling sidewalks, Mayor John Marchione for his excellent communication and followup, Ernest Fix for his leadership of the maintenance team and the absolutely amazing snowplow driver who got out of his truck to ask if there was anything else he could do for us!

Because of the city’s help and commitment to our community, Open Kitchen was able to open our doors for the 273rd straight Wednesday.

Thank you city of Redmond for understanding the need, for responding quickly and for caring about our community’s safety and nourishment.
