Redmond high’s Moran receives Nokomis scholarship

The scholarship recognizes high academics, community involvement, extracurricular activities and future goals.

Renee Moran, a 2019 graduate of Redmond High School (RHS), is this year’s recipient of the $1,000 Nokomis Scholarship, funded in memory of Audrey Gorlick.

Moran is the daughter of James and Marni Moran of Redmond and she is being honored at the June Nokomis luncheon.

Renee plans to attend Arizona State University and study communications.

According to a press release, the scholarship recognizes high academics, community involvement, extracurricular activities and future goals.

Renee is a member of the National Honor Society, co-president of the youth advisory board in Redmond and was captain of RHS’s varsity cross country team. She also works part time and volunteers in the Redmond community.
