Redmond school introduces innovative ‘mommy and me’ program

Redmond’s Montessori Children’s House (MCH) has kicked off an innovative learning program for infants from birth to 18 months old. Discover Me, a parent and child program is the only Montessori-based “mommy and me” program offered in the Redmond/Sammamish area.

MCH Infant/Toddler Program Director and Discover Me teacher Kim Berude says that babies learn immediately after being born through all their sensory experiences. “In Discover Me, we give parents the tools to create a Montessori experience at home along with the support to turn everyday experiences into learning-based activities.”

A MCH press release reads, “A Montessori education has been long been accredited to innovative and entrepreneurial thinking. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos along with Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have stated that their Montessori education was essential for their educational and personal foundation. Along with business leaders, English royalty have been devoted to a Montessori education for generations; Princess Kate and Prince William choose a Montessori education for their toddler, George of Cambridge.”

MCH is currently enrolling for the winter session of Discover Me. Learn more and enroll at mchkids.com/parentchild-program.
