VALA Eastside’s ‘Stomping Ground’ installation features work by artists in volunteer community

VALA Eastside announces the opening of their new installation “Stomping Ground,” featuring artwork produced by 20 artists within their volunteer community.

The new installation also aligns with the opening of the new VALA Art Center space located in Redmond Town Center, across from Macy’s, opening to the public on Wednesday.

“We are very grateful to our talented, creative and dedicated volunteers and this show provides an opportunity to share their work with the greater community,” said VALA Eastside art programs director Dawn Laurant. “We also want to thank Redmond Town Center as they have allowed us to have a home within the Redmond community and fulfill our mission of connecting artists to artists, artists to the community and the community to art.”

“Stomping Ground” will showcase 2-D and 3-D artwork in VALA Art Center’s new space, located at 7525 166th Ave. N.E.

The public is invited to attend the artists’ reception for the installation, meet the artists and view the new art center at 6 p.m. on Friday. Several live performances are lined up for the evening and will begin at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
