Friends of Redmond Library sponsor free nutrition classes this fall

Friends of the Redmond Library are sponsoring a four-week series of nutrition classes at the Redmond Regional Library, 15990 NE 85th St. The classes are free and open to the general public, with no registration required.

Ashley Harris, a registered dietitian will be the presenter. Harris is certified by the American Dietetic Association and licensed in Washington by the Department of Health. She is currently the president of Crave Health, a private nutrition practice in Kirkland.

Classes will be held in Meeting Room 1 at the Redmond Regional Library, from 7-8 p.m. as follows:

Thursday, Oct. 22 — Nutrition 101: The Basic Macro and Micronutrients

Thursday, Oct. 29 — Grocery Shopping: What to Look For on a Budget

Thursday, Nov. 12 — Sizing Up Your Plate: Portion Sizes vs. Serving Sizes

Thursday, Nov. 19 — Food-focused Celebrations: How to Eat Healthy During the Holidays
