The City of Sammamish has announced that the single lane closures which caused traffic congestion on East Lake Sammamish Parkway early in September will be extended, as work on Phase 1B of the parkway project continues.

According to an e-mail blast from the city Monday morning, "Based on observations this week and last week, the increased traffic congestion that occurred during the first week of school has dissipated. Therefore the current lane closure hours are continuing."

Single lane closure hours will be in affect from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The city apologized for any inconvenience and extra delay motorists experience as a result of the lane closures.

For more information, contact City of Sammamish Senior Transportation Program Engineer Jeff Brauns at jbrauns@ci.sammamish.wa.us or 425-295-0561.
