April 26, 2011 · 11:08 AM
Redmond police arrested a 28-year-old Woodinville man who they believe was part of an armed robbery of a Grasslawn neighborhood home early Friday morning.
Officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of Northeast 85th Court at around 9 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery, according to police spokesman Jim Bove. A woman was staying inside a friend's house and was the only one there at the time when the alleged robbery occurred. At about 5:45 a.m., the woman heard noises outside the house and went to investigate, Bove said. When she went outside, she was approached by two men who pushed her back into the home and one of them allegedly held a knife to her throat, Bove said.
"They had her stay inside a bedroom as they searched the house and stole several items," Bove said.
Police later found and arrested one of the suspects and the investigation is ongoing.
