Redmond police investigating downtown robbery

The Redmond Police Department (RPD) is investigating a robbery at a downtown parking garage where a man said he had his wallet stolen at gunpoint early Saturday morning.

The victim said he was walking in a parking garage next to the Legacy at Riverpark Apartments when two male suspects approached him from behind at 1 a.m. Saturday, according to police spokesman Jim Bove. The victim told police one of the suspects placed what he believed to be a gun to his head and removed his wallet from his pocket.

"Unfortunately, because he was approached from behind, we don't have much of a description other than they were dressed in dark clothing," Bove wrote in an email. "There was never actually a weapon seen."
