Redmond Way will be closed Saturday and Aug. 18 due to construction

August 8, 2012 · 4:15 PM

Redmond Way is scheduled for paving on Saturday and Aug. 18, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.

Paving will occur from 132nd Avenue Northeast to just east of West Lake Sammamish Parkway. Access to Redmond Way will be restricted during paving and driveway access may be obstructed for up to one hour for a one-time closure.

All eastbound lanes are scheduled to be completed on Saturday; westbound lanes are scheduled to be completed Aug. 18. Two-way restricted traffic will be accommodated; however, drivers should expect major delays and use alternate routes such as Old Redmond Road. Weather conditions may affect paving schedules. For updates please visit the City of Redmond's website, www.redmond.gov, or contact the city's Public Works Department at (425) 556-2723.

The Redmond Way Overlay project will repair and resurface approximately 1.8 miles of worn and damaged pavement running east of 132nd Avenue Northeast to Bear Creek Parkway. This work is the first significant maintenance project for this stretch of Redmond Way since 1994. The city assumed control of the road from the state in 2010.
