Redmond Lovers store robbed at gunpoint, police searching for suspect

The Lovers store in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street in Redmond was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 12:45 p.m. today.

Redmond Police reported that the suspect entered the store, went behind the counter, displayed a small handgun and demanded cash. The suspect ordered the employee to go to the back of the store as he fled with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as male, Hispanic, in his mid-30s, about 5-foot-8, medium build and wearing a baseball hat, sunglasses, orange or red jacket, blue jeans and gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
