Kirkland man connected with Bandidos motorcycle gang pleads not guilty to extortion

A Kirkland man connected with the notorious Bandidos motorcycle gang pleaded not guilty today to extorting money from a Redmond business owner last month.
Robert Dairold Golden, 39, was charged Dec. 27 for the crime that involved extorting $57,500 from the owner of a custom fishing-rod shop.
His alleged accomplice, Robert Amahd Edwards III, of California, also pleaded not guilty today in King County Superior Court.
Golden was released today on bail, which was set at $500,000.
According to charging documents, Golden and Edwards allegedly entered the Redmond business on Dec. 21 to unlawfully collect titles to the victim’s truck, trailer, boat and some dirt bikes. The men were unaware that police had been granted the authority to intercept and record the meeting.
Members of the Redmond and Seattle Police Departments were waiting nearby and after they had collected enough evidence, arrested the men.
A case setting hearing for Golden and Edwards is scheduled for Feb. 14.
