The City of Redmond invites any individual, business or organization to submit applications for amendments to Redmond’s Comprehensive Plan.

The deadline for amendment applications to be considered during 2008-09 is 5 p.m. Monday, June 2.

The Comprehensive Plan describes the community’s long-term values and goals, guiding Redmond’s physical, economic and social development. It includes a land use plan, as well as sections on topics such as Housing, Economic Vitality, Transportation and Capital Facilities.

Amendment requests may involve either the text or map portions of the Comprehensive Plan.

The application forms and instructions for requesting an amendment are available by calling the Comprehensive Planning Division at (425) 556-2440 or by visiting www.redmond.gov/insidecityhall/permitting/devapps.asp. There is no fee for applying for a Comprehensive Plan amendment.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to meet with city planning staff prior to submitting an application. For questions or to schedule an appointment, contact Jeff Churchill, (425) 556-2492 or jchurchill@redmond.gov.
