Redmond police's Vader assists Bellevue police in narcotics investigation | Police blotter for March 1-3

The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the Redmond Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.

Sunday, March 3

Agency assistance: At 9:34 p.m., Bellevue police requested assistance with a narcotic sniff of a vehicle suspected of being involved in narcotic activity. Cross-trained narcotic detection dog Vader sniffed the exterior of the vehicle and gave a positive alert on the vehicle.

Fraud: Redmond police investigated a fraud complaint from the 18200 block of Northeast 91st Street on Education Hill at 4:13 p.m.

Missing person: At 11:50 a.m., Redmond police responded to a report of a missing man at 8700 block of 166th Avenue Northeast on Education Hill.

Burglary: A home in the 9700 block of 163rd Place Northeast on Educaiton Hill was burglarized at 11:05 a.m. There was no force entry.

Physical control: At 2:12 a.m., Redmond police investigated a report of an individual driving under the influence and a call for physical control in the 12000 block of 134th Court Northeast in Grass Lawn.

Saturday, March 2

Assault: Redmond police investigated a domestic violence assault in the fourth degree in the 9800 block of Avondale Road on Education Hill at 6:32 p.m.

Vehicle prowls: Officers responded to three vehicle prowl reports. Two came from Grass Lawn between 9:55 a.m. and 10:35 a.m. The third report came from Overlake.

Identity theft: At 12:01 p.m., a victim in the 18500 block of Northeast 25th Way in Overlake reported fraudulent activity on all her credit accounts.

Theft of vehicle parts: A ctalytic converter was reported stolen at 10:52 a.m. from a vehicle while parked in an industrial area parking lot in the 15300 block of Northeast 95th Street in Grass Lawn.

Friday, March 1

Marijuana: Redmond police arrested a subject in the 4000 block of Bel-Red Road for possession of marijuana less than 40 grams and minor in consumption at 11:30 p.m.

Shoplifting: Redmond police responded to two shoplifting reports. The first came from downtown where two subjects were observed stealing items from a business. The suspects are still outstanding. The second report came from Overlake.

Threats: Redmond police responded to a complaint of threats at 10:55 a.m. from the 17300 block of Northeast 70th Street downtown.

Out of gas: At 9:57 a.m., Redmond police responded to a gas theft complaint which occurred over the past few days from the 18300 block of Redmond Way downtown.

Grand theft auto: A vehicle in the 9800 block of Avondale Road on Education Hill was stolen between the hours of 6 p.m. on Feb. 28 and 6 a.m. on March 1.
