Council President Pat Vache to step down after term ends this year

March 4, 2013 · 11:08 AM

Redmond City Council President Pat Vache has announced that he will not be running for reelection this year.

Vache's position, Position 2, is one of three Council positions up for reelection this year. The other two are Position 4, held by Kim Allen, and Position 6, held by John Stillin — both of whom will be running for reelection.

Vache is currently serving his second stint on Council, having first served from 1981-89. During these nine years, he served as Council president for four years. Vache returned to Council about seven years ago.

"It has been my pleasure to serve on the Council for 18 years and while it is difficult to leave the Council now is the correct time," Vache told the Reporter in an email.
