Northwest Writer's Retreat coming up

The summer Northwest Writer’s Retreat will be held Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the South 47 Farm in Redmond.

The theme is “Words in Bloom.”

The day will include creative writing exercises, mini-workshops, an “Ask the Experts” question-and-answer session, and quiet time on the farm to write or explore the farm’s U-pick fields. Beginning writers welcome.

Instructors are Christine Dubois, a widely published magazine writer and popular writing teacher; and Leslie Adkins, a fiction writer and instructor who has written seven novels, five of them mysteries.

The South 47 Farm is located between Woodinville and Redmond at the corner of NE 124th St. and the Woodinville-Redmond Rd.
