Frable named new coach of Redmond High fastpitch team
June 27, 2008 · 1:14 PM
Redmond High School hired Pat Frable as the new head fastpitch softball coach on Thursday.
Frable will be taking over for Jackie Bloom, who led the Mustangs to a third-place finish at May's Class 4A state tournament.
Bloom stepped down to concentrate on other aspects of her life.
Frable served as the assistant coach on the fastpitch team this past season, and was the head baseball coach at Redmond from 2001-2005.
"I am thrilled that Pat has accepted the position," said Redmond Athletic Director John Appelgate. "His passion for the game is obvious, but more importantly, he understands the role of athletics in the educational process, has great relationships with his students and athletes, and has all the qualities I look for in a head coach."
