City to conduct inspection and permitting services beginning Monday

The City of Redmond is conducting a survey from Jan. 13 to Feb. 14 to gather information regarding its online inspection and permitting services.

Participants can access the survey on the city’s website at www.redmond.gov on the Business & Development page or access it directly at www.surveymonkey.com/s/redmondinspectionsurvey or www.surveymonkey.com/s/redmondpermittingsurvey. A print version is also available in the Development Services Department on the second floor at City Hall.

Since Jan. 7, 2013, inspection requests and permitting applications have been processed through a new Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) or a web-based E-Track Portal System. A year after the initial launch, city officials are interested in gaining feedback from those using the systems.

The purpose of the city’s IVR and web-based inspection and permitting services is to provide an easy alternative means of scheduling and applying for requests and gave users quick access to checking application status. The information provided from the survey results will ultimately serve to help improve the IVR and web-based systems.

For more information about the survey and how to participate please call Carol Lewis at (425) 556-2410 or email at clewis@redmond.gov.
