Mid-term 48th Legislative District Democratic caucus set for Sunday

A mid-term 48th Legislative District Democratic caucus will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Rose Hill Elementary School cafeteria, 8110 128th Ave. N.E., Kirkland. Keynote speakers will include Rep. Ross Hunter and Senate candidate Joan McBride.

Local Democratic Party members will consider platform proposals and resolutions and elect eight delegates and six alternates to join ex officio members at the Washington State Democratic Convention on June 21 in Spokane.

Platform items and resolutions for referral to the state convention or county convention on April 12 will also be considered.

Any registered voter in the 48th Legislative District or 17-year-old who will be eligible to register to vote in the November 2014 general election may vote at the caucus.

The 48th Legislative District includes parts of Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond and all of Medina, Clyde Hill and Hunts Point.
