Man hit by truck is back home from hospital | UPDATE

A 59-year-old man who was seriously injured when a truck struck the worker last Thursday morning in Redmond was transported to Harborview Medical Center. He returned home last Friday evening and is healing from his injuries.

According to Redmond Police Department neighborhood resource officer Julie Beard, members of the Redmond police and fire departments responded to the collision at 8:37 a.m. in the 4200 block of 150th Avenue Northwest. John Fritsch, a Darrington resident, was working in the loading dock of a building when a delivery truck was backing into the dock, unaware that the worker was present.

There was no evidence that the truck driver was impaired and he wasn't issued a citation, Beard said.
