The Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee (RYPAC) in collaboration with Green Redmond Partnership is kicking off the Green Redmond Program.

Redmond teens will work to remove invasive plants such as blackberry bushes from Farrel-McWhirter Park, 19545 Redmond Road, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 7.

This will be the first phase of the stewardship at Farrel-McWhirter. A second phase will be led by the Redmond Parks Department in April (details yet to be announced) for an Arbor Day planting of native species.

If you are interested in forming a team, e-mail Nancy Chang nchang@redmond.gov or call (425) 556-2358 before Feb. 27.
