Tami Annett Christianson, who pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges of her 16-month-old son a year ago, had her case-setting hearing continued to Oct. 31.

She was found competent to stand trial at a hearing on Sept. 7 at the King County Courthouse in Seattle, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

According to court documents, King County Sheriff deputies arrested Christianson, then 36, at her parents’ home near Redmond on June 4, 2016 for investigation of the murder of her son. She was charged on June 8 and is being held in King County Jail in Seattle on $1 million bail.

During their initial investigation, deputies uncovered evidence that the boy’s mother had possibly caused the fatal injuries. Court documents state that an autopsy revealed that facial petechia consistent with asphixial mechanism was discovered.
