• Residential customers who subscribe to yard waste can recycle holiday trees at curbside, according to the City of Redmond. Trees are collected only as yard debris — they should not be placed in their garbage cans.

If residents subscribe to yard waste collection, they can recycle their trees at curbside. Flocked trees are the exception, as they cannot be composted, and must be placed in the garbage.

All lights, tinsel and ornaments must be removed.

• The following city buildings will be close on these dates:

Redmond City Hall: Dec. 23 and 26, and Jan. 2, 2017.

Redmond Senior Center: Dec. 22 through Jan. 3, 2017.

Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center: Dec. 23 and 26, and Dec. 31-Jan. 2, 2017.

Old Redmond Firehouse Teen Center: Now until Jan. 3, 2017.
