Food inspector closes Redmond grocery store

A Public Health food inspector closed Big Bazaar, located at 2789 152nd Ave. N.E. in Redmond, at 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 due to the following food safety violations, according to the Public Health — Seattle & King County website:

Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures.

Inadequate facilities to control temperature of potentially hazardous food, cold holding.

Handwashing facilities inaccessible.

Toxic items not properly stored; i.e. concentrated cleaners stored above food.

Imminent health hazard: Malfunctioning walk-in refrigerator.

Food not wholesome: food contaminated by rodents.

The establishment will be reopened once the inspector confirms that these issues have been resolved, the site reads.
