Frightful fun coming to the Old Fire House Teen Center

Redmond teens will find frightful fun this October at the Old Fire House (OFH) Teen Center, 16510 NE 79th St. in downtown Redmond.

Redmond teens will find frightful fun this October at the Old Fire House (OFH) Teen Center, 16510 NE 79th St. in downtown Redmond. Scheduled activities include:

• OFH Zombie Movie Premiere, 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8. Come watch the big screen debut of the OFH produced, directed and filmed movie short, “Zombie Love!” Also showing will be “Thriller” and “Teenage Zombies.” Ticket price is $7.

• Eastlake vs. Redmond Rivalry Show, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15. Rival bands from Eastlake and Redmond High School will face off to see who’s “true to their school.” Admission is $7 or $6 if wearing school colors.

• Open Mic Night, 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, featuing acoustic music, poetry, comedy and more. To sign up early or for more information, e-mail sesmith@redmond.gov. Admission is free.

• RHS March to the Match, 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22. It’s a barbecue celebration before the Redmond High School homecoming game. Tickets are $6, including the barbecue.

• Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead party, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29. This free celebration includes traditional Mexican cuisine and crafts.

• Halloween Concert, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, including DJs, bands, costume contests and candy. Admission is $7 or $6 if you wear a costume.

The Old Fire House Teen Center also features a variety of activity days, classes, a recording studio and band rehearsal space.
