The Lake Washington PTSA Council will hold its basket auction and reception from 10-11 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Lake Washington School District Resource Center, 16250 N.E. 74th St., Redmond Town Center.

The council began its scholarship program more than 35 years ago to assist graduating seniors with their college education. In 1990, scholarships were added for district staff to help defray the costs of continuing education. All proceeds from the event go toward scholarships.

The auction closes at a reception that is open to the public. Free espresso drinks, desserts and a raffle await. There will be many opportunities for supporting the Lake Washington School District seniors and staff. In addition to the auction and raffle, there is a bring-a-buddy door prize, gift card wall (purchase gift cards at cost) and donation opportunities starting at $15.
