Monday, Feb. 26

Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 7:13 p.m. in the 7700 block of 188th Avenue Northeast. A woman with outstanding warrants out of Bellevue was arrested after police were called for an in-progress fraud incident at a local business. Officers found the suspect in the nearby woods along with illegal narcotics and credit cards and ID that did not belong to her.

Sunday, Feb. 25

Vandalism: Redmond police took a vandalism report at 8:28 a.m. in the 7900 block of 150th Court Northeast. A man reported that an unknown suspect had keyed his car sometime overnight. Upon officers arrival, the victim showed another car parked car that had been damaged in a similar manner.

Saturday, Feb. 24

Disturbance: Redmond police took a disturbance report at 6:16 p.m. in the area of West Lake Sammamish Parkway and Northeast 40th Street. At an apartment complex, a victim told police she had been attacked by three people, one of whom she was familiar with, and her purse had been stolen. The victim and witnesses were unable to provide clear details of what transpired and were not fully cooperative. Officers advised the victim that further investigation would require more cooperation from her and would continue when she was ready.

Friday, Feb. 23

Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 7:23 p.m. in the 17600 block of Northeast 76th Street. A department-store employee had seen a suspect looking at TVs and offered assistance in purchasing one. Instead of heading to the register to pay for it, the suspect wrestled the TV from the employee and pushed him to the ground. The suspect ran out of the store and was seen driving out of the parking lot.

Thursday, Feb. 22

Confrontation: Redmond police took a report at 5:43 p.m. in the 7800 block of Leary Way when a man was pepper sprayed after he interrupted a suspect attempting to break into his parents’ vehicle. The victim was walking to the parked vehicle when he saw the suspect had broken the glass on his parents’ car and was grabbing items out of it. Upon confrontation, the suspect discharged the pepper spray and fled the area. A witness called 911 and aid took the victim to the hospital. Evidence gathered at the scene is being processed and officers are continuing to investigate.

Wednesday, Feb. 21

Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 4:14 p.m. in the 2600 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. A victim sold a laptop online and received an invalid payment for it.

Tuesday, Feb. 20

Car prowl: Redmond police took a car-prowl report at 9:47 a.m. in the 18300 block of Redmond Way. Two suspects smashed a vehicle window and stole several bags and personal items out of the car. A witness who saw it happen while in his office nearby gave a description of the suspects and police are investigating leads.
