Sunday, March 11

Vandalism: Redmond police took a vandalism report at 10:29 a.m. in the 10900 block of 158th Court Northeast. Two adjacent mailboxes were pried open by an unknown suspect. It was not immediately clear what, if anything, had been taken from the mailboxes.

Saturday, March 10

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 7:03 p.m. in the 17100 block of Redmond Way. A local shoe store employee called police after witnessing a theft. The female suspect was seen walking out of the store with a bag of shoes she had not paid for and then got in a vehicle with no license plate and left the area.

Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 2:49 p.m. in the 9100 block of 177th Place Northeast. A man reported having several hundred dollars of merchandise fraudulently charged to his credit card and sent to an address in Michigan.

Friday, March 9

Vandalism: Redmond police took a vandalism report at 7:02 p.m. in the 16100 block of Northeast 85th Street. An officer patrolling on foot noticed a window of an abandoned building had been broken and the adjacent door was unlocked. There was also a rock on the other side of the broken window that had likely been used by someone to gain entry. Upon investigation, the officer found some clothing, food and a lingering smell of marijuana but no suspects were found inside.

Thursday, March 8

Crash: A Redmond Police patrol unit going to a burglary-in-progress call at 9 p.m. was hit broadside in the intersection of northbound 156th Avenue Northeast and Bel-Red Road. There were no injuries to the officer or the other party, and there was no indication of impairment to the other party.

DUI: Redmond police took a DUI report at 6:46 p.m. in the 14000 block of Redmond Way. A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI after an officer spotted him speeding on a residential street. The teen was released to a relative after the investigation and booking. Charges are pending.

Wednesday, March 7

Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 2:49 p.m. in the 4900 block of 156th Avenue Northeast. A man called police to report his work trailer had been stolen and then recovered a few hours later by Everett police. The victim hoped officers could investigate to attempt to find the suspect. The trailer and its contents were all recovered intact. Investigation is ongoing.

Tuesday, March 6

Stolen vehicle: Redmond Police arrested a man on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle and possible various illegal drug charges at 11:50 p.m. in the 15200 block of Northeast 24th Street. Officers saw the vehicle speeding out of a parking lot and ran the license plates. The car had been reported as abandoned and was known to officers from having sat in the parking lot for a couple months. After contacting the driver, police learned the suspect also had a warrant out of King County. The suspect was arrested and transported to a hospital for care after he told emergency personnel he had taken an unknown amount of heroin and wasn’t feeling well. Specific charges are pending.
