Phone harassment: An employee at a business in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street reported to police that an unknown man has been calling and texting her cell phone with sexually explicit messages.

Monday, Sept. 15

Senior domestic violence?: An elderly man who lives with his wife in the 9900 block of Avondale Road told police that his wife hits him quite hard in the arm and “she has a short fuse at times,” according to the police report. However, police saw no bruises on his arm.

Identity theft: A woman who lives in the 6000 block of 188th Avenue Northeast reported that someone used her Social Security number and set up an account for services at Swedish Hospital. There is no suspect information and the investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, Sept. 14

Fraud: A Redmond couple who live in the 7400 block of 138th Place Northeast discovered someone used their credit card account information to make more than $2,300 in fraudulent transactions. Those transactions took place in Bellevue, Bothell, Renton and Kirkland.

Car prowls: There were two different car prowls at a fitness facility in the 7900 block of 178th Place Northeast. In both incidents, the car window was smashed and valuables were taken. Both incidents were recorded by a security camera, but there was no positive identification of the suspects.

Saturday, Sept. 13

Car stolen: A resident who lives in the 16900 block of Northeast 79th Street called reported that her Dodge Neon was stolen from the parking lot behind her apartment.

Friday, Sept. 12

Permission not granted: A business owner in the 18000 block of Northeast 33rd Street reported that one of his employees did not return with a business truck he had used. In addition, the suspect attempted to fraudulently purchase tools using the business name in other cities.

Domestic violence: Police responded to a physical domestic violence assault in the 9800 block of Avondale Road. The suspect had left the scene before police arrived; however, he was apprehended later at the Overlake Park and Ride.

Thursday, Sept. 11

Theft: A teacher at a school in the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street told police that a laptop computer was taken from her classroom.

Wednesday, Sept. 10

Diamond theft: A woman who lives in the 18200 block of Northeast 109th Street reported that a diamond ring was stolen from her residence. She said she believes that the movers may have taken it.

Dine and dash: A suspect ate in a restaurant in the 8900 block of 161st Avenue Northeast and left without paying. The suspect gave the server a canceled credit card to pay for his meal.
