Police officers arrest three burglary suspects in north Redmond

Redmond police officers arrested three burglary suspects at about 6 a.m. this morning in the north Redmond area, according to the Redmond Public Safety Facebook page.

A Redmond communications specialist received notification of a residential alarm in the north Redmond area and the alarm company reported multiple activations at the residence. The specialist notified officers to respond immediately.

Two officers were quickly on scene and discovered a car leaving the area with three individuals on board. Officers identified the three — a 32-year-old male from Mercer Island, a 28-year-old male from Tukwila and a 23-year-old female from Maple Valley — and discovered stolen property from the home in the car.

Additional officers responded, as well as a King County Sheriff’s K9 Unit and they searched the residence.

“Stolen property was discovered staged around the home and dropped in the yard. There was at least one additional suspect who was able to flee the scene,” the Facebook page reads.

The homeowners were not at the residence when the burglary occurred. Officers reached one resident, who worked with officers on scene to locate and identify his property.

This case is ongoing, and the three suspects were booked into jail pending charges of residential burglary. The three subjects are also suspected of other criminal activity in the area, including at least one reported vehicle prowl.

“The Redmond Police Department is grateful for the assistance from the King County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. We also encourage citizens to report suspicious activity as well as any crimes so that we can continue to build this case against multiple suspects who chose to target our community,” the Facebook page reads.
