Sunday, Oct. 14

5:16 p.m. – Arrest: A 21-year-old suspected of shoplifting from a local thrift store was arrested on the 15300 block of Northeast 24th Street.

8:10 a.m. – Vehicle Prowl: A prowler smashed two car windows and stole a backpack while the vehicle was parked in a grocery store parking lot on the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street. No suspect information was available.

Saturday, Oct. 13

10:40 p.m. – Vehicle Prowl: An unknown thief stole a bag and a wallet out of unlocked vehicle while it was parked at a local hotel on the 17300 block of Northeast 85th Place.

3:29 p.m. – Theft of a Motor Vehicle: Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the 15200 block of Northeast 95th Street. The car was taken by an unknown suspect from a Redmond parking lot and was recovered in Renton a few hours later. No arrests have been made.

Friday, Oct. 12

5:19 p.m. – Fraud/ID Theft: A woman reported being the target of an email phishing scam after an unknown suspect attempted to extort money out of her. The sender of the email stated he had her passwords and evidence of her viewing pornography sites. The fraudster threatened to share the alleged footage with all her contacts if she did not send money. The victim did not fall for the scam and alerted police.
