Redmond High School was on brief modified lockdown this morning after a student — who was not at school at the time — tweeted “Redmond High School shooting” at 10:22 a.m.

According to Redmond Police Department public information officer Becky Range, the student was at home, and members of the King County Sheriff’s Office met with the student and a parent at the residence shortly after. The lockdown was lifted after the student’s location was verified.

“Police do not believe there is any public safety threat, and the student is receiving assistance for a variety of issues,” Range said.
