Redmond High’s Jillian Roels competes in Miss Seattle Scholarship Pageant and wins scholarship for platform and community service

Last Saturday, Redmond High School senior Jillian Catherine Roels was a contestant in the Miss Seattle Scholarship Pageant and won the scholarship for her platform and community service.

Last Saturday, Redmond High School senior Jillian Catherine Roels was a contestant in the Miss Seattle Scholarship Pageant and won the scholarship for her platform and community service.

Roels is the owner of two nonprofit organizations, Spark Your Heart and Spark Your Little Heart Guild with the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

She also owns a chapter of Girl Talk, a national nonprofit that mentors middle school girls. Each week, middle school girls attend the meetings at Rosa Parks Elementary School in Redmond and discuss issues young women face in school and society.

Roels is spokesperson for a national anti-cyberbullying campaign, Say It 2 My Face, and will be a featured guest at the Expanding Your Horizons conference at Bellevue college at the end of the month.
