Redmond resident to help teach at Nia event in Issaquah

Redmond resident and Nia teacher Pauline Osborne will join five other teachers from around the Puget Sound area for the “Wings of Change” jam session, from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 22 at the Sammamish Club, 2115 Poplar Way in Issaquah.

Cost is $20 at the door or $15 in advance by e-mailing gayle@niaseattle.com or calling (425) 466-4357. Space is limited.

Nia teachers offer the Jam format as an opportunity to move with others interested in the Nia fitness practice. Dancing to an eclectic mix of music, Nia is done barefoot and is adaptable and safe for any fitness level. The Nia cardiovascular workout combines nine movement forms from the martial arts, dance arts, yoga and more.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the NiaSeattle’s not-for-profit teachers’ association Web site. For more information, visit www.niaseattle.com.
