Rep. Kuderer among candidates to take Lt. Gov. Habib’s vacated 48th District Senate seat

The King County Council will interview and appoint a new senator to fill the vacancy created in the 48th District of the Washington state Senate with the election of Lt. Gov. Cyrus Habib tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.

The council will choose from a slate of three candidates put forward by the Washington State Democratic Central Committee, including State Rep. Patty Kuderer; Becky Lewis, a member of the FUSE Board of Directors; and activist Sarah Chandler.

The meeting will be held on the 10th floor of the King County Courthouse, located at 516 Third Ave. in downtown Seattle.
