Starlight serves more than 7,000 seriously ill children and their families each month to help them cope through education, entertainment and family activities.

“Laughter really is the best medicine. We are honored to be able to help seriously ill children and their families. Very often, people overlook the fact that when a child is sick, it affects the entire family. It’s not just a financial strain; it puts a severe emotional impact on the family, leaving little time for fun,” explained Ride the Ducks president Brian Tracey.

Ride the Ducks started a partnership with the Starlight Children’s Foundation of Washington in 2008. This is the third annual Ride the Ducks Starlight Day.

Starry, the Starlight mascot, will be on-site for photos and hugs and Starlight volunteers will offer information about their many programs.

Ride the Ducks hopes to raise more than $10,000 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation of Washington through this event. For more information, visit www.ridetheducksofseattle.com/starlight.htm.
