Suspects chased down after stealing $170 worth of alcohol: Police blotter for March 26-April 1

This is not a complete list of all incidents that occurred in Redmond during this time period.

Sunday, April 1

6:15 p.m. – Shoplift: Retail employees on the 17200 block of Redmond Way called police after observing an individual select merchandise and leave the store without attempting to pay for it. Officers located the suspect a short distance away and discovered items stolen from a second store as well. The suspect was arrested for theft.

Saturday, March 30

10:48 p.m. – Shoplift: Grocery store employees on the 17200 block of Redmond Way observed an adult female select $228 worth of alcohol and conceal the bottles in her purse. Officers located the suspect in the parking lot. It was determined that the suspect left the alcohol in another part of the store before leaving. The suspect was arrested on outstanding misdemeanor warrants unrelated to this incident.

3:27 p.m. – Assault: A citizen called police to report an assault that had previously occurred on the 15000 block of Northeast 95th St. The victim stated her co-worker became angry and threw an office product at her which made contact with her face. The victim was not injured. Misdemeanor charges of 4th degree Assault were forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

Friday, March 29

10:56 p.m. – Burglary: An apartment resident returned home and discovered his home on the 16800 block of Northeast 39th Court had been burglarized. The suspect(s) entered thorough a patio window. Fingerprint evidence was collected at the scene as is being processed for suspect information.

6:32 p.m. – Shoplift: Two adult males were observed by employees selecting approximately $170 worth of alcohol and leaving the store without attempting to pay for the items on the 17200 block of Redmond Way. Officers located them a short distance away. The suspects elected to run on foot from the officers. A short foot pursuit yielded two suspects under arrest for Misdemeanor Theft and Obstruction.

Thursday, March 28

9:35 a.m. – Vehicle Prowl: A resident on the 5000 block of 157th Court Northeast called police after finding items had been stolen from his car overnight. Sunglasses, cash, and a gift card were taken. No suspect information exists.

2:34 a.m. – Burglary: A monitoring company detected an alarm and noted two individuals in the process of stealing bicycles from a storage locker on the 15200 block of Northeast 40th St. Officers located the duo a short time later. They were arrested for investigation of burglary.

Wednesday, March 27

7:30 a.m. – Theft of a Motor Vehicle: A scooter was stolen while parked near the victim’s place of employment on the 15300 block of Northeast 95th St. No suspect information was available.

Tuesday, March 26

2:05 p.m. – Theft: Multiple mailboxes were broken into by an unknown suspect on the 300 block of 177th Ave. Northeast, the 3400 block of 179th Ave. Northeast and the 17600 block of Northeast 30th Place. The damaged mailboxes were all empty but it was not immediately clear what, if anything, had been stolen.
