Volunteers are needed to work in Redmond parks, removing non-native invasive plants.

The next work party is from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 28 at Idylwood Park, 3650 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE. No prior experience is necessary and tools and gloves are provided.

This event is part of a series of work parties – “Last Saturday” of each month through October. To plan ahead, dates and locations for the remainder of 2010 are:

• Sept. 25 – Hartman Park, 17300 NE 104th St.

• Oct. 30 – Idylwood Park, 3650 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE
