Mark Louis “Louie” Schuchard

Mark Louis “Louie” Schuchard, born in Bottineau, North Dakota on 2/10/1935 and passed away on 3/17/2011. Mark is survived by his wife of 52 years Jessie May Daigle Schuchard; children, Natalie (David Foster), Mark (Nichol Smith), John (Pam) and Doug (Elizabeth Hunter); grandchildren, Chase, Hannah, Laurel, Patrick, Caleb, Mitchell and William; brothers and sisters, Rose, Dwayne, Lyla, Annie, Matt, Lorraine, Vicky, Bernie, Helen, Jennie, and Arlene. Mark graduated from Renton High School in 1953 and immediately joined the Air Force at age 17. He served in both the Air Force and Army as an Explosives Ordinance Technician and saw action in Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for service as Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team Chief in Vietnam. Mark was an avid gardener and loved fishing and traveling. He never missed his children’s sporting matches and was a soccer coach. A funeral mass will be held at St Jude’s Parrish in Redmond at 11:00 April 2 and he will be interred at Mt. Tahoma National Cemetery on April 4 at 2:15 pm.
