Phyllis “Phidi” McHenry

Phyllis “Phidi” McHenry, age 84, died Dec 1, 2010, in San Diego, CA. A 33 year Eastside resident, she taught reading in the Lake Washington SD from 1971-1989. Teaching remained her passion after retirement, as she balanced tutoring young readers with constant traveling. Phyllis moved to Coronado in 2000, to live on the water near family and friends. She is survived by sister Lois and brother David, daughter Kathy, and sons Michael, Dan and Brian. Friends are invited to celebrate her life on April 9, 2011 from 2:00-3:30 pm, at Anthony’s Homeport in Kirkland.
