Habib is 'driven to make sure that people are treated fairly' | Letter to the Editor

October 29, 2012 · 3:56 PM

I wanted to share a few words about Cyrus Habib. I know we are getting closer to election day, and I wanted to share a little bit about which 48th District candidate I support.

I'm an independent voter who focuses on the content of a candidate, who they are, and what they stand for. I worked with Cyrus Habib when he served on the Bellevue College Foundation Board, as well as did some volunteer work with the Evergreen Hospital Foundation. Cyrus has a huge commitment and passion for our community. He is driven to make sure that people are treated fairly and that what needs to get done is done in the right way.

Some people have asked me why he wears sunglasses in his pictures. Cyrus is blind, but it has not held him back in any way. When I spend time with Cyrus, I don't think about it because he is so effective and natural in how he engages with people.
